A Game of Thrones
"As warden of the North, Lord Eddard Stark counts it a curse when king Robert bestows on him the office of the Hand. His honour weights him down at court where a true man does what he will, not what he must... and a dead enemy is a thing of beauty.
To old gods have no power in the south, Stark's family is split and there is treachery at court. Worse, the vengeance-mad heir of the deposed Dragon King have grown to maturity in exile in the Free Cities. He claims the Iron Throne."

I just finished reading A Game Of Thrones from the series A Song of Ice and Fire. As most of you know, the TV show Game of Thrones (which I also watch) is based on the books written by George R. R. Martin. I wasn't aware of these books until the show had started airing, since fantasy books isn't exactly the genre that I like to read. However, these books are just class. No, let me correct myself, this book is just class (cause I haven't read the other ones yet).

In a way, I guess I'm a little disappointed with the fact that I've seen the show before the books, because whenever I read them, I can't stop thinking about the actors and actresses who play these characters. It's stopping my imagination cause I already have a made picture infront of me. But since the TV show is only on the third book, I still have time to catch up and as new characters are introduced, I can let my imagination blossom and be surprised when the TV show put real faces on them.
I really enjoyed this book, and compared to the TV show, you get so much deeper understanding to the characters and you get more attached to them.
I can not wait to start reading on A Clash of Kings.
